Question of the week: What’s one color lipstick you can’t wear?

Posted by on Jan 31, 2014 in Question of the Week | 5 comments

Hello Loves,

I am a nude lipstick kind of girl (whether it’s pink, coral or a brown shade of nude) and never really liked to venture out of my comfort zone until a couple of years ago. Lately though, I am having a lot of fun trying out all these colors I never thought I could wear (bright red, hot pink, berry and burgundy).  However, one color I still have a bit of a problem wearing is ORANGE colored lipstick.  It may sound like a “weird” color, but I have seen some really nice pictures of women wearing orange lipstick, usually around summer time, with nice tans, pretty flowery dresses and sandals, and they looked so beautiful that it makes me want to try it (but that thought only lasts about two and half minutes and I am back to being reluctant to try it).

How about you? Do you ‘hate’ orange lipstick as well or is there another color you just can’t deal with?

3 Minute Miracle Deep Hair Conditioner by Aussie

Posted by on Jan 29, 2014 in Beauty Bargains | 3 comments

Hello everyone!!!

Today I’d like to talk about this conditioner, even though most of you are probably tired of hearing about it.  But, because I LOVE IT SO MUCH I decided to share that with you.

This deep conditioner DOES do miracles, like the name says.  It moisturizes, nourishes, and detangles my hair, leaving it shiny and healthy looking.  It doesn’t weight my hair down nor make it ‘greasy’ and it leaves a wonderful smell on it.

I felt a difference on my hair the first time I used it as it made it soft and shiny. However, I had to use it a few more times (3 or 4) before I could see a real improvement on my hair’s appearance and on how smooth, soft and shiny it was.

I use it once a week and leave it on for 3 – 5 minutes and then rinse it off.  I also like to use it when I go to the beach, before and after I go in the water.

Last, but not least, this baby only costs about $3.00 at drugstores! This can’t get any better!!

Have you ever tried this product? If so, how do you like it?

MAC’s Brun Eyeshadow Color Review

Posted by on Jan 29, 2014 in Reviews | 0 comments

Hello Loves!!

Today I’d like to talk about a MAC shadow I really like.  Brun is a blackish/ brown shade with grey undertones and a satin finish.

The color is super pigmented, so I always like to tap off the excess from the brush before applying it.  The satin finish makes it easier to blend and the lasting power is awesome too, as it stayed all day on my lids (although I ALWAYS use it with a primer).

I use this on a daily basis as a crease color.

Love it!!

****It costs $15.00 if you buy it with the compact or $10.00 if you buy just the pan by itself, which is what I did.

Hello Loves!

I received this kit as a Christmas gift and thought I should do a quick review for you, why not? :)

Although I don’t have the habit of highlighting my face on a daily basis, I do like to do it on occasion and find this kit to be perfect for my needs because it carries mini sizes.
This set contains:
– 0.25 oz “that gal” Brightening Face Primer
– 0.13 oz High Beam Luminescent Complexion Enhancer
– 0.1 oz Dandelion Brightening Face Powder
– Powder Brush
– 0.1 oz They’re Real! Beyond Mascara in Black
– 0.02 oz Bad Gal Liner Waterproof Eye Pencil in Extra Black

The kit also comes with a “Tips and Tricks” booklet.

This kit gives you a couple must-have travel size products (mascara, eyeliner) and a few other goodies that are will give you a perfect face glow (occasionally, for me, at least).

My favorite item is the ‘High Beam’ highlighter that looks great on my skin, giving me a pretty, but subtle glow and is the perfect size for my needs (the full size version would last me a lifetime).

*****It costs $32.00 and you can find it at Sephora stores or online. All items are sold separately as well and prices are as follows:

That Gal Face Primer – 0.37 oz $29.00

High Beam Complexion Enhancer – 0.45 oz $26.00

Dandelion Face Powder – 0.25 oz $ $28.00

They’re Real! Mascara – 0.14 oz $10.00 and 0.3 oz $23.00

Bad Gal Eyeliner – 0.04 oz $20.00
