Hi loves!

It’s been a while since I got THIS EXCITED about a brush set!!!

CSC_0041 CSC_0045 CSC_0046 CSC_0053 CSC_0060 CSC_0059

I first heard of this brand on IPSY because some of their lucky subscribers (not me) received a pretty, baby pink blush brush in their bags. I went to Luxie’s website to check out their products and was love at first sight! I looooved their brush set, especially the luxurious baby pink one! (Yes, I’m a pink lover). :)

The set includes:

Large Powder Face Brush 502

Large Angled Face Brush 504

Duo Fiber Stippling Face Brush 508

Foundation Face Makeup Brush 510

Concealer Eye Brush 211

Large Shader Eye Brush 209

Medium Angled Shading Eye Brush 207

Eye Shading Eye Brush 213

Tapered Blending Eye Brush 205

Small Angle Eye Brush 215

Eye Liner Eye Brush 219

Pencil Eye Brush 217

Brush Cup Holder

The brush handles are not too long nor too short, they’re in between Sigma brushes and a travel size set. They have a pearl pink color with rose gold ferrules that are simply gorgeous!

In addition, they offer high quality anti-bacterial coated synthetic bristles that are 100% vegan and SO SOFT, they’re a treat to the face! One MORE important piece of information I must share with all my brush lovers is that they DO NOT SHED!!! YAAAAAAY!

(Above is Luxie’s brush next to MAC’s travel size)

Because I can’t apply my foundation with the traditional “cat tongue” foundation brush that comes in most kits, I also purchased a flat kabuki. (Flat Top Kabuki Face Brush 530)

This kit (plus the kabuki brush) contains all the brushes you need to create beautiful, flawless skin and smoky eye. It is TOTALLY worth the money, even though it’s not the cheapest you’ll find around.

The set cost $110 and the single flat kabuki $18, so my total would’ve have been $128. HOWEVER, I used a 30% coupon from IPSY and my total came down to $89.60 with free shipping! Now THAT was a good deal, don’t you think?! :)

P.s. – I received them IN RECORD TIME!!! I ordered them on early afternoon Saturday and received them on Wednesday! WOW!

Have you ever heard of Luxie Beauty before?

I’d love to hear your thoughts on them!

Lots of love!

Polly

b.m.c. Face Kabuki Brushes

Hi looooooooves!

The other day I came across the website bundlemonster.com, where I bought these brushes from.

The brushes have thick handles, which I prefer, because it gives me a better grip and are made of wood. The synthetic bristles are soft, but dense, perfect for foundation and concealer application. In addition, they can be used to apply cream products as well (cream blush, for instance). The last important piece of information I must give you is that they DO NOT shed! YAY!

DSC_3948 DSC_0002 DSC_3952

The kit came in a pouch with four brushes:

K01 – Flat Kabuki

K02 – Round Kabuki

K03 – Tapered Kabuki

K04 – Angled Kabuki

The brushes are good, were delivered within 5 business days (which is good timing) and are great for makeup artists that need to have a few extra brushes in their collection (they are so affordable).

The only thing is that the mirror that comes inside the brush pouch was broken, but it’s ok, I’m pretty sure I’ll survive… :)

The kit cost $23.50.

Lots of Love………………..Polly

Oi amoooooores!

O kit custa $23.50.

Com amor…………….Polly

Morphe Brushes Flat Contour Brush C460

Posted by on May 19, 2014 in I LOVE brushes!, Reviews | 0 comments

Hello Loves!

I recently bought this brush and am very excited with it!

I love the effect of contouring, but rarely do it due to my laziness… Since it takes me a few extra minutes to do that, I end up leaving that step out.

However, since I found this brush, I have been contouring my face on a daily basis because it’s that easy to do with it!

PhotoGrid_2014-05-07_14_10_32

PhotoGrid_2014-05-07_14_13_51

This medium size brush has a thick handle that gives me a nice grip and makes it easier to contour your cheekbone and around your nose.

This brush has short, dense, soft, vertical bristles that give me a quick and precise application of the product. After I deposit the bronzer on my face, I just blend it out in two strokes and TA-DAAAA!

In addition, I have washed it a few times and it doesn’t shed!!!!!!

It’s the first time I use a brush that’s NOT round to contour my face and I’m finding it much easier to do so!

I couldn’t find anywhere on their website whether it’s natural or synthetic bristles.

The only thing I found a bit confusing was the fact the brush itself has the number M460 written on it, but the name of the brush is actually C460.

Last, but not least, this baby only cost $13.95, plus shipping. Not bad, huh?! LOVE IT!!!!

You can find it at their store in Burbank, CA and online.

Have you tried any Morphe Brushes brushes yet? Let me know what you think.

Professional kit – Amazing Pink

Posted by on Dec 27, 2013 in I LOVE brushes!, Reviews | 0 comments

Hello everyone!!!

I was very well impressed with the quality of this Brazilian brush kit, and that is why I decided to talk about it.  The kit is from the brand Pink Gloss, www.pinkgloss.com.br, and it is a great alternative for Sigma brushes, because in my opinion, these are as good as Sigma’s.  The kit contains 13 brushes made of natural and synthetic hairs that come in a beautiful synthetic leather brush bag.

DSC_0231 DSC_0225 DSC_0049

****The only problem that I have with this kit was with the duo-fiber brush.  It sheds like crazy, but since I don’t use that brush frequently, it doesn’t make too much of a difference to me. If it wasn’t for that, the kit would be perfect.

Below is the list of brushes:

FN = face natural (face brush with natural hairs)

FS = face synthetic (face brush with synthetic hairs)

EN = eye natural

ES = eye synthetic

1)   Powder brush (FN01)

2)   Duo-Fiber brush (FNS02)

3)   Kabuki brush (FS03)

4)   Blush brush (FN04)

5)   Foundation brush (FS05)

6)   Concealer brush (FS06)

7)   Blending brush (EN07)

8)   Long blending brush (EN08)

9)   Large shader brush (EN09)

10)   Small shader brush (EN10)

11)   Angled shader brush (EN11)

12)  Pencil brush (EN12)

13)  Angled liner brush (ES13)

The Beauty Box Brushes Review

Posted by on Dec 27, 2013 in I LOVE brushes!, Reviews | 0 comments

Hello everyone!!!

Today I am here to tell you about my beautiful brushes by The Beauty Box.  For those who haven’t heard about the brand, it was launched in November of 2012 by Grupo Boticario, a well-known Brazilian cosmetic/ fragrance store and it offers a variety of national and international name brands.  Since the brushes are sold individually and I didn’t know the brand yet,  I decided to buy only the brushes I “really” needed. LOL

Altogether there are 11 brushes, being 10 in turquoise color and silver finish, 1 retractable all in silver and all of them are synthetic.  Below is a list of the ones that I bought:

1461016_542123075877792_760980477_n

  • Powder Brush – F2 (R$24.90)
  • Angled Brush Blush – F3 (R$24.90)
  • Duo- Fiber – Loose Powder Foundation or Blush – F4 (R$24.90)

  • Short Shader Brush – Shadow – E1 (R$19.90)
  • Tapered Brush to Blend – Shadow – E2 (R$19.90)
  • Pencil Brush – Shadow – E3 (R$19.90)

The brushes have great quality, and a great finish.  They don’t “shed”, (which I find very important, since it drives me crazy when the hairs are all over my face) and they run for a very good/ fair price. I found very interesting how each brush has it’s name and description (what it’s supposed to be used for) written on the handle, which is useful if you’re starting to make use of brushes and don’t know how to use them. The brushes are not small, but not super long either, they’re like “travel size” and are a great option to carry in your bag to do touch-ups during the day.

Below is a list of the brushes I DIDN’T BUY, just so that you have an idea of the whole collection.

  • Traditional Liquid Foundation Brush – F1 (R$24.90)
  • Concealer Brush – F5 (R$19.90)
  • Kabuki Brush – Powder/ Blush F6 (R$29.90)
  • Medium Angled Brush – Shadow – E4 (R$19.90)
  • Long Shader Brush – shadow – E5 (R$19.90)

*** All the prices are in REAIS, the Brazilian currency. ***

Lots of Love………….Polly
